The 24th of March 2023. This date marks 20 years since our Software Development Manager Robin started his journey with MHT Technology.
To commemorate the occasion, a small get together was held in the upstairs conference room. After a short speech by our MD Marcus, as a gesture of appreciation for Robin’s loyalty, hard work and dedication over the last 20 years, he was presented with some small gifts including a custom “Darlo Till I Die” polo top (which he says he’ll actually wear to the pub in Darlington).
“I remember meeting Malcolm when we were 18 years old and we went to college…polytechnic, together. That’s how old we are, we went to a polytechnic. I remember Malcolm leaving college and then I met up with him again at Whessoe before he left to set up MHT. In 2003 I was in need of a job so I rang up Malcolm and eventually joined him at MHT. So yeah I’ve enjoyed it, it’s been 20 years…you get less for murder these days.”
I first met Robin when he joined MHT in 2003. At that time we were based in The Stables at Sedbury, and we were readying version 1.0 of Entis LNG Pro. Robin arrived and took control over the comms layer as we soon realised that Robin’s UI skills involved loading a shotgun with Windows controls and firing them at the screen. Fortunately for us Robin’s evolution of the comms layer has provided him with enough challenges and opportunities to keep him entertained for those 20 years. We have come to rely on him, his knowledge and skills, many developers past and present have valued his advice and help with problems big and small.
On behalf of everyone at MHT Technology, thank you and congratulations to Robin for 20 years with the company!
