A little company in North Yorkshire, with a huge global impact.
MHT Technology Ltd is a leading global supplier of tank gauging, terminal automation and stock management solutions for bulk liquid storage and handling. Founded in 1994 as an independent, private company, providing a range of services to the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, MHT has grown into a leading global supplier of bulk inventory management and stock reconciliation systems.
As a company, we are constantly evolving alongside our customers’ industry. As we listen to feedback from our customers we are able to apply cutting edge technology to provide services and solutions. We can be flexible and adapt to meet the requirements of different sites based on size and budget. MHT’s product range includes terminal automation systems, hardware devices to allow different manufacturer’s gauges to coexist, and electronic process management. Our products minimise costs, revolutionise procedures and improve safety with tailored and bespoke technology. Our technology supports systems of up 1500 tanks, is used in 100+ countries, and we have 83 clients in the UK alone.
Digital transformation and constant innovation are what we do, but with the human element at the core of the design. MHT’s team thrives when finding solutions for their clients. We have been digitalising processes since the 90s and will continue to help our clients be as efficient as possible.
MHT is proud to adhere to the highest quality standards. We operate a QMS fully meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, and our field service technicians hold Safety Passports and CompEx certificates. MHT supports tank gauging from all manufacturers, servicing and repairing different types of gauge on a regular basis. For added peace of mind, we offer a helpdesk and 24/7 call-out service.
MHT Technology Limited started back in 1994, providing services to oil storage sites in the UK and Ireland using Whessoe gauges. We were the first in the UK market to introduce a Windows-based tank gauging and inventory system called 'VTW.'

Rebranded VTW as Entis XL for Enraf (now part of Honeywell) and supplied software for deployment at Chevron refinery and storage terminals in the USA.
2003 – First LNG site

2006 – New Office

2014 – Endress+Hauser purchase MHT
In 2014 the Switzerland-based process automation global giant Endress+Hauser completed the purchase of MHT Technology. The Swiss group has a turnover of almost €2.5 billion a year and employs 14,500 people throughout the world. This gave MHT a wider ability to serve worldwide markets on top of its established network of distributors and partners.
2019 – First overseas terminal automation project
A major terminal automation project in Thailand is delivered to 3 sites. Several new features are added to allow traffic management on the site and self-service order processing.
