TSA Conference and Exhibition
September 21st-22nd 2022
September once again saw MHT Technology in attendance at the Tank Storage Conference and Exhibition. Held annually in Coventry, it is the UK’s leading event in the Tank Storage sector and sees companies from across the industry represented as Exhibitors and Delegates. Having excellent guest speakers and both potential and existing clients in attendance, it is a perfect occasion for networking and business development. With this year’s event marking it’s 21st iteration, the Tank Storage Conference and Exhibition continues to be an essential date in the MHT Calendar.
“Its great to be back at TSA, the event has always given us the opportunity to connect with our customers in the UK and Ireland. This year’s event has not disappointed.” – Marcus Webster, MHT Managing Director
Exhibition Day
With the team primed and ready to go, stood to attention on the display stand at 8.30am, the conference was officially open. What proceeded was a well attended event with flurries of activity during the intervals between each guest speaker. During these break periods, the Delegates would make their way around the exhibiting hall, perusing the stands, often on their way to get refreshments or to use the facilities. The lunch break was a particularly busy time with the event caterers putting on an excellent spread. The cheese and pickle sausage roll was unanimously agreed to be a highlight.
This year we were able to chat with a fair few familiar faces, as well as some unfamiliar ones enquiring about our services. We hope that some of this will lead to potential business opportunities in the not so distant future.
And just like that, the day was done. With almost military-like precision, our stand was packed up, loaded into the transit van and we were ready to make our separate ways home. Jo and Jack (once again in the transit van), had a playlist of 80’s hits to soundtrack the return journey home. The verdict on this one was not quite as positive as it turns out that a lot of music from that era was questionable at best.

Hit the road jack…
This year’s expedition saw newly appointed Managing Director Marcus Webster leading an exhibiting team of Steve Spelman, Joanne Morgan and Jack Zelenka (who was being allowed out of the office for the first time).
The day began with Jo and Jack loading the transit van and setting off to Coventry at around 11am on the Wednesday. With a quick stop at Wetherby Services for lunch and a Cortado (a road-trip essential for Jo), they made good time with fortunately easy traffic conditions and a pumping playlist of “noughties hits”.
Convening at the Coventry Building Society Arena at around 4pm the hard work began and after lugging the equipment to the exhibiting hall, the display stand was erected. We had hoped that Marcus’ LED light display would help us stand out from the crowd however having been placed on a stand opposite a company exhibiting hazardous area lighting, we sadly lost the illumination battle.
On Wednesday night our Exhibiting team met up with some colleagues from Endress+Hauser Manchester at local Italian restaurant, Arco. The food was excellent and the company even more so. Fully fed and watered it was time for bed before a long day of exhibiting.
