About The role:
As a support technician you will provide exceptional service and technical support to our customers via phone, email, and remote access. You will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to our company software, hardware, and devices; including the operating systems our software is installed on.
You will also help to install, configure, and troubleshoot new system installations including operating systems, MHT software and hardware products. You will be using software packages including but not limited to SQL Server Management Studio, VMWare VSphere, YouTrack, and HyperV.
The postholder will be required to cover out of hours calls on a rota basis. You will also offer internal support to our employees as required.

The role will be based at our office in Melsonby, North Yorkshire, with some travel to clients’ sites to work, which may involve overnight stays. There may also be opportunities for occasional international travel.

You will have:
- A -level or equivalent qualification in computer science or a related field such as A++ and /or CompTIA [or similar], or demonstrable experience in this field.
Although not essential, you might also have:
- Network +, Linux +
- Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server and performing basic SQL programming tasks.
- Basic knowledge of PowerShell or Windows Command Line.
- Understanding of basic networking concepts, including TCP/IP and DNS.
- Basic knowledge of programming logic.
- Microsoft Windows Admin Support Technician Certificate [or working towards]
- Awareness of industry standard Hypervisors, such as VMWare or HyperV.
To be considered for this role, you must have the right to work in the UK and hold a full driver’s licence.
